Sunekos
treatment benefits

  • Sunekos Peforma

This high performance skin booster is used to rejuvenate the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

It's particularly popular for under eye rejuvenation (periocular rejuvenation), stopping that "tired eyes" look. It tackles dark circles, thin/crepey skin, and bags, resulting in a refreshed, revitalised appearance.

A study of Sunekos Performa showed that, for example, forehead wrinkles were reduced by 71%, the appearance of sun damage reduced by 49% and skin became 50% firmer.

  • Sunekos Body

We use the Sunekos Body treatment to tighten your skin and improve the appearance of stretch marks.

It's particularly effective in areas where we commonly experience skin laxity or roughness, such as the arms, inner thighs, knees and abdomen. In areas prone to stretch marks Sunekos can give you significant improvements, including the abdomen, breasts, thighs and buttocks. Please check this as I've added in areas where stretch marks are common, but which aren't listed in the Sunekos website as treatment area.

  • Sunekos Cell for cellulite

Cellulite is caused by the thickening ("fibrosis") of fat tissues, leading to a puckering or "orange peel" effect on the skin. By stimulating collagen production in the target areas, Sunekos restores a more normal structure to the fat tissue, reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Sunekos Cell is an effective treatment for cellulite on the buttocks, thighs, knees and inner arms. A clinical study showed that it both reduces the surface appearance of cellulite and slims your thighs .

Clinically proven to smooth, lift and add volume to your skin.

The science
behind Sunekos

Sunekos is a blend of low molecular hyaluronic acid and six amino acids.

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins in the extracellular matrix (ECM), which supports the development and structure of our cells. You’re probably familiar with two ECM proteins: collagen and elastin. These proteins give our skin strength, structure and elasticity. Like all proteins, collagen and elastin are made from amino acids.

Hyaluronic acid also performs a structural role in the ECM, plus it retains moisture within the skin (it can absorb up to 1,000 times its own weight in water).

Research has shown that the specific combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids in Sunekos increases neo-collagenesis and elastogenesis (the biosynthesis of collagen and elastin) in the treated areas.

In clinical trials, improvements in the symptoms of facial skin photoaging were significant at ten days post treatment, and still improving six months later. This included reductions in the height and depth of wrinkles, increased facial volume and the reversal of skin sagging.

  • What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is an injectable skin booster treatment. It contains amino acids and hyaluronic acid, which combine to lock moisture into your skin and trigger the production of rejuvenating collagen and elastin.

The result of Sunekos treatment is plumper, smoother, healthier-looking skin.

  • Is Sunekos safe?

Yes, clinical trials have demonstrated that Sunekos is a safe treatment with minimal side effects.

  • Does Sunekos treatment hurt?

No, we apply a topical anaesthetic cream before your treatment to prevent any discomfort during the injections.

  • What are the pre-treatment requirements and advice?

You will have a pre-treatment health check with us to ensure your suitability for treatment.

Please inform us of any significant health problems or neuromuscular conditions you may have.

Sunekos treatment may be unsuitable for you if you are taking certain medication.

Prior to your treatment taking place, to reduce any risk of infection, the treatment area should be hair and make-up free. Therefore, we advise that you should shave and remove any make-up before arriving at your appointment.

You may wish to take paracetamol one hour prior to arrival to minimise discomfort during the procedure. When you arrive at our clinic we may apply a numbing cream which can take up to 30 minutes to take effect.

Smoking or alcohol may affect the healing process. Therefore, these are best avoided prior to and at least one week after the treatment.

  • What are the side effects of Sunekos treatment?

Most patients will experience some tenderness and swelling around the injection sites following their Sunekos treatment. This should resolve within the first 24 hours, but may continue for up to a week.

After this, you may notice some slight redness over a few days following treatment, whilst the skin is healing.

Any bruising that occurs can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. We recommend applying aloe vera gel/arnica ointment and cold packs to hasten recovery.

  • How long does Sunekos last?

The benefits of Sunekos last for at least six months after treatment (as proven in clinical trials).

  • What are the benefits of Sunekos?

A week to ten days after your first treatment you should start to see the benefits of Sunekos.
    These include:
    ● Increased skin hydration
    ● Improved skin elasticity
    ● Smoother skin texture
    ● Fewer wrinkles and fine lines
    ● Tighter, lifted and volumised skin

  • What aftercare is required?

Your practitioner will give you full information about any aftercare requirements following your Sunekos treatment.

You should avoid touching the treatment area until 6 hours after the treatment. After this period, the area can be gently washed with soap and water and light make-up can be applied.

Whilst the initial swelling and redness are healing, do not expose the treated area to intense heat (such as a solarium or sunbathing) or extreme cold.

For the first 4 hours following treatment, you should avoid bending or lying excessively. Vigorous exercise should be avoided for at least 24 hours.

  • How many Sunekos treatments do you need?

We usually recommend that you have two or three treatments over a three to four week period. However, our advice is personalised to your particular needs and skin type, so we may suggest a different treatment plan.

  • What is "Sunekos eyes"?

This is treatment using Sunekos Performa to target the periocular region (around the eyes). It's particularly effective at reducing dark circles, crepey skin and bags under the eyes.

  • Sunekos vs Profhilo - which is best, Sunekos or Profhilo?

Sunekos and Profhilo are similar treatments. Which would be best for you depends on your desired results and skin type. Your specialist will give you personalised advice on which treatment would suit your complexion and goals.

  • Has Sunekos ever gone wrong?

We're not aware of any problems following Sunekos treatment, where it was administered by a trained medical professional. Sunekos has been proven to be safe in extensive clinical trials.

  • Is Sunekos worth it?

Yes, absolutely! Sunekos is a highly effective way to achieve smoother, rejuvenated skin. When you visit a Hannah London clinic we'll assess your skin and discuss your desired outcomes to ensure that Sunekos is the right choice for you.
