Treatment Explained
What is massage?
Massage is a treatment to enhance mental and physical health and is frequently used for pain relief, to improve blood circulation and also to relieve stress.Â
During a massage, your therapist will work your muscles and soft tissue to relieve tension and any build up of fluids. This is done by rubbing, stroking or applying pressure to the skin in the relevant areas of the body. Â
At Hannah London, we offer massage treatments with our skilled therapists in a luxurious and soothing setting.Â

Neck, back and shoulder massage
Our neck, back and shoulder massage will leave you with a feeling of relaxation, contentedness and relief from pain, like headaches and back pain, and also relief from stress and tension. You will enjoy the release of endorphins, the body’s feel-good hormones.

Indian head massage
A relaxing holistic treatment that uses acupressure massage on the head, face, neck and shoulders. It aims to rebalance your body's energies and you’ll leave our clinic feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Duration: approx. 30 minutes. -
Balinese massage (deep tissue)
This massage originates from Bali, Indonesia, and is a holistic treatment that combines gentle stretches, acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and "qi"(energy) around your body.
This treatment uses long sweeping movements and aromatherapy oils to ease muscular tension and calm your mind.

The science behind
massage therapy
Massage has been practised for thousands of years, originating in India as part of Ayurvedic medicine. It is now used in many forms to support health and wellbeing including for pain management, sports massage for muscle recovery, and using massage to improve anxiety and even depression. Exactly how massage affects our bodies at a cellular level is not yet well known, but research from 2012 showed that massage reduces the inflammation that occurs after exercise, which may also explain how it helps to reduce pain.Â
