Leanne: Perfect. So, yeah, I think let’s carry on. The next question is, is it normal to break out after a Hydrafacial?
Lytsa: Depending on the type of skin, yeah It’s 100 percent normal. Many people like they get so scared because when they come for a facial, they just want to look perfect straight away and since we always say the Hydrafacial actually, even though it’s a complete facial and advanced facial, it’s suitable for every skin type. And actually that’s true, its suitable for particularly any skin, but it’s very, very common if you already have acne prone skin, for you to have a little bit of break out afterwards because of the chemical peel, especially if you’re using salicylic. Usually they just going to bring that up. They’re going to bring that dirt up. So it’s normal for you to have the pimple on that day off your Hydrafacial. But then she is going to be gone. She’s going to dry out on the next couple of days. Or even if your skin is already sensitive, you can have a little bit of sensibility. But it’s nothing to worry about, like it’s going to come down in a few days. It’s normal. That’s what I always say to my client, is like a bad down time because for a good reason, because afterwards it’s going to be completely clear.
Leanne: I was literally going to say myself, I’m very lucky knock on wood that I don’t suffer from breakouts. But I myself personally, after I had the Hydrafacial, had just one or two little sort of breakouts afterwards. So I think it is important for people to know that it is completely normal, as you said, about the salicylic acid. The salicylic acid actually is a decongestant. So it goes into the skin and it actually pulls out, unclogs the pores and pulls out whatever’s in the skin. And because the Hydrafacial in general is a deep cleansing treatment, it’s completely normal to have breakouts afterwards. And like you said, it’ll probably take a couple of days. They’ll dry out and the skin will go back to normal.
Lytsa: Usually people they get really scared to think like, oh, I came for the treatment and now my skin is going to be worse, but this podcast is to just to keep them calm, I think this podcast is going to help them a lot, with this question. Actually it’s the question I always have, like they always ask me.
Leanne: I also get it a lot, especially people who are prone to getting sort of not necessarily acne, but just one or two breakouts. Their first thing is, is this going to make me break out more? And you know unfortunately, the answer is, it’s not going to necessarily make you break out more, but it will give you a couple of extra breakouts. But it’s good because it’s actually cleaning out the skin.
Lytsa: Exactly. You’re actually treating something, I think, like it’s easier for you to get a bit of a breakout. Usually when you have like just a beauty facial, you know, it’s basically just apply creams just to be moisturized. And then sometimes I see them, some people they get more acne, but with Hydrafacial, since you’re using acid you’re actually treating. So there’s nothing to worry about when you’re doing the advanced facial.
